Amanda Serrano, one of the greatest boxers in history, is set to retire. The world featherweight champion and Most Valuable Promotions, co-founded by Jake Paul, announced that Serrano will have her “Last Walk” on January 9. She will face Skye Falzon in Puerto Rico, her home country.
Serrano expressed her reflections on her boxing journey. “Boxing has been my life,” Serrano shared, noting her beginnings when women’s boxing sought recognition in small venues. Her journey led to headlining Madison Square Garden and reaching millions. She is proud of her achievements alongside her husband, Jordan Maldonado. She hopes fans will join her final match.
Paul and his MVP partner Nakisa Bidarian helped elevate women’s boxing. They have fought for respect, fair pay, and equal opportunities. Serrano plans to continue advocacy for the next generation, even after retiring.
Amanda Serrano is the MOAT. The Most Of All Time. The most accomplished female boxer of all time, the most watched, the most paid, and one of the most influential athletes this sport has ever seen, said Paul and Bidarian.
Her fight with Katie Taylor was groundbreaking, holding main events at a sold-out Madison Square Garden. Although Serrano lost three bouts to Taylor by decision, her popularity soared.
After her July 2025 match against Taylor, Serrano secured three consecutive wins. The upcoming fight will be her sixth professional fight in Puerto Rico and the second at the Coliseo.
Serrano’s career has profoundly impacted women’s boxing. Her “Last Walk” on January 9 will celebrate an extraordinary legacy.
