Alabama Faces Tennessee Without Key Player Ryan Coleman-Williams

The Alabama Crimson Tide aims to recover from a narrow defeat against the Georgia Bulldogs in Week 6 as they prepare to face the Tennessee Volunteers. However, they won’t have a fully equipped offensive lineup for Saturday’s game.

Junior wide receiver Ryan Coleman-Williams has been a standout performer in college football this season for Alabama. Before their loss to Georgia, he consistently scored in three consecutive games. Unfortunately, during the Week 6 game against Georgia, Coleman-Williams left the field due to a knee injury and concussion, which hindered his performance.

Leading up to Week 7, there was little hope that Coleman-Williams would participate in the upcoming game. This was confirmed on Wednesday through Alabama’s injury report and an update from Pete Nakos of On3 Sports.

Coleman-Williams leads the team’s statistics, topping categories such as receptions (tied with Lotzeir Brooks), receiving yards, and touchdowns. His absence will likely impact Alabama’s performance, especially since the Tennessee Volunteers permit only 161.3 passing yards per game, the SEC’s second-best record. This could present a challenge for Alabama’s star quarterback Keelon Russell.

The Alabama-Tennessee game will commence at 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
