On Monday night, a tragic hit-and-run investigation in Northeast Miami-Dade took an unexpected turn. While deputies were examining the scene, a vehicle approached carrying a man who had been shot. This incident unfolded just over a mile from the crash site, according to the sheriff’s office.
Deputies were occupied with the fatal hit-and-run case at around 11:42 p.m. when they encountered individuals transporting the injured man. Reports indicate the shooting occurred at Zippy Coin Laundry, located at 14701 NE Sixth Ave.
The man, in critical condition, was promptly taken by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue to HCA Aventura Hospital.
