Upon arriving in Vietnam, Elsie Hendershot felt a sense of relief. The journey had been long and arduous. She embarked on a road trip from Utah to Las Vegas with her father. Following that, they caught a flight to San Francisco, but circumstances led them to miss a connecting flight. This resulted in an overnight stay before they boarded a plane for a lengthy 11-hour flight across the Pacific Ocean to Japan. After that, a final five-hour flight transported them to Hanoi.
