People are living longer, altering the concept of aging. By the late 2060s, projections show around 2.5 billion people globally will be aged 60 or older. This number will surpass individuals under 18 years old. Additionally, the population of those aged 80 and above is set to increase even more rapidly. It is expected to more than triple from 2023 to 2060, reaching approximately 545 million.
