DK Metcalf, the Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver, and his teammate, quarterback Aaron Rodgers, share an interest in conspiracy theories. In a recent interview with The Athletic, Metcalf revealed his belief in a hidden civilization within Earth. This belief stems from the difficulty in booking trips to Antarctica, which he sees as evidence.
Metcalf mentioned his interest in conspiracy theories and hinted that this topic has been a bonding point with Rodgers. “Yeah, I’m a big conspiracy theorist. Shout out to my quarterback,” he remarked with a smile, emphasizing his belief in another world inside Earth.
“I think it’s another world. I think there is another civilization inside of Earth.”
According to Metcalf, the supposed access point to this civilization is in Antarctica. He questions why booking a trip there is allegedly not straightforward. “You can go to Alaska. You could go to the North Pole,” Metcalf commented. “But why not Antarctica? Why can’t you just book a trip to Antarctica?”
The Athletic clarified this point, stating that while tourism to Antarctica is possible, it primarily occurs from November to March and involves ship travel. Though there are no commercial airports, governments control non-commercial flights.
“Why is there a meeting between every world leader of every country in Antarctica, specifically?”
Metcalf questioned the gatherings in Antarctica, to which there is no verifiable evidence. Experts note that while Antarctica receives distinguished visitors, such meetings are not substantiated. Despite this, Metcalf expressed his long-standing interest in conspiracy theories, unrelated to Rodgers’ influence.
Both players have seemingly bonded over these theories, forming a connection that extends beyond their professional sports roles.
