A tragic single-vehicle rollover accident occurred Sunday evening, leading to the death of a six-month-old boy in the south suburbs of Chicago. The crash took place around 6 p.m. on Interstate 57 in Harvey, Illinois. At the time, there were eight occupants in the vehicle. According to Illinois State Police, seven individuals sustained injuries and were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The infant, who was a resident of Englewood, was pronounced deceased the same evening at Ingalls Memorial Hospital. This information was confirmed by the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Due to the investigation, northbound traffic on Interstate 57 and the entrance ramp from 147th Street were closed for approximately five hours, as stated by state police.
