Trippin’ Billies Concert
Since the mid-1990s, Trippin’ Billies has gained recognition as a leading Dave Matthews Band tribute group. They will perform at 6 p.m. on Friday at the Acorn Concert Series in Gabis Arboretum, Valparaiso. Purdue Northwest hosts this event. Tickets start at $23. Griffith’s Rock ‘n’ Rail Festival
Griffith holds its 17th Annual Rock ‘n’ Rail Festival over two city blocks. This family-friendly event started Thursday and runs until Sunday night. Live music, vendor booths, and various games take place daily from 2 p.m. to midnight along Broad Street.

Hesston Steam and Power Show
The Hesston Steam Museum, at 1201 E. 1000 N. in LaPorte, presents the 65th Annual Labor Day Weekend Steam and Power Show. This event runs from Friday to Monday. Attractions include three vintage train rides, antique machinery, and “Doc’s Soda Shop.” Admission costs $10, with additional fees for train rides. Children under 13 enter free. Whiting Symphony Orchestra Concert
The Whiting Symphony Orchestra concludes its Summer with the Symphony series with a concert at Lakefront Park in Whiting. Scheduled from 7:30 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, this free event includes a fireworks show finale. Parking is $10. Through sponsorship and public donations, the orchestra hosts guest soloists and themed performances. Audience members bring picnic gear for a musical evening.
