A teenager, identified as Wyatt Seely from Rochester, breached the perimeter of Portsmouth International Airport in New Hampshire on Saturday. The incident occurred at around 8 p.m., following a police pursuit. The 17-year-old crashed through a perimeter fence and collided with a parked plane and a nearby tractor, according to New Hampshire State Police (NHSP).
Authorities reported that Seely was intoxicated at the time of the crash. The pursuit began as police searched for a vehicle linked to reported crimes in other local areas. A trooper attempted to stop a black 2008 Ford Mustang on Durham Street, but the driver fled. The Mustang, without its lights on, crashed through the airport’s fence and traveled across an aircraft parking apron.
Seely’s vehicle struck both a Kubota tractor and an unoccupied stationary plane before halting. He was taken into custody by state troopers and transported to a hospital for evaluation. No other individuals suffered injuries during the event.
Seely faces multiple charges: misdemeanor counts of driving while intoxicated (DWI), aggravated DWI, disobeying a police officer, conduct after an accident, and reckless driving at the violation level. He is set to appear in Portsmouth District Court on September 9, 2026.
The incident involved multiple agencies, including Portsmouth Police and Fire departments, Newington Police Department, and Pease Fire and Emergency Services. Further details were sought from Portsmouth International Airport.
