Philadelphia Eagles Running Back Ja’Quinden Jackson Injured in Preseason Game

Philadelphia Eagles running back Ja’Quinden Jackson was taken off the field in an ambulance after an injury during the opening kickoff of a preseason game against the New England Patriots. The incident occurred on Saturday night in Foxborough, Massachusetts.

The Eagles reported that Jackson had strength and movement in all extremities and was taken to a hospital for further evaluation. Jackson was participating in the kickoff team when he successfully tackled New England’s Lan Larison, but he remained motionless after the play concluded.

Medical personnel from both teams acted promptly, attending to Jackson. They quickly brought in a backboard and called for an ambulance. Players from the Eagles and Patriots knelt near the sideline as Jackson was placed onto a stretcher. Eagles players briefly gathered around him before he was transported in the ambulance. He was seen raising his left arm momentarily before departing. Play resumed shortly after.

Following the game, backup quarterback Tanner McKee shared that Jackson was reported to be okay. McKee expressed a mix of emotions, as team members hoped and prayed for Jackson’s well-being. Hearing news that Jackson was responsive and mobile helped ease concerns among players.
