Hayden Panettiere, the actress renowned for her performances in Heroes and Nashville, has died at the age of 36. Her passing was announced by her father, who expressed the family’s deep sorrow, stating, “It is with profound sadness that we share the tragic passing of our beloved Hayden. She was an incredible light and a force of nature who brought immeasurable love and joy to all who knew her and to the millions who watched her onscreen.” The family has requested privacy during this difficult time.
The cause of her death is not yet known.
Hayden is survived by her daughter Kaya, who she had with former partner, Ukrainian boxer Wladimir Klitschko. In May 2026, she released her memoir, This Is Me: A Reckoning, where she detailed her journey from child star to adult fame, addressing personal issues such as postpartum depression, alcoholism, and an abusive relationship.
Hayden’s brother, Jansen Panettiere, also an actor, died in 2023 at the age of 28.
