Judge Dismisses Lawsuit Against Harvard

A U.S. District Judge in Massachusetts, Richard Stearns, ruled against a federal lawsuit on Thursday. The lawsuit accused Harvard University of failing to adequately protect Jewish and Israeli students.

Lawsuit Allegations

The Justice Department filed this lawsuit in March. The allegations stated that students were prevented from entering school buildings in 2023 and 2024 by protesters. Some students reportedly had to wear baseball caps to conceal their yarmulkes, a traditional headpiece for many observant Jewish men.

Judge’s Decision

Judge Stearns described the incidents as “too isolated and episodic.” He determined that these events were insufficient to support the claim that Harvard breached federal law.
