Kansas City Chiefs’ Travis Kelce enjoyed an exceptional offseason, marrying Taylor Swift before the start of the training camp. The wedding took place at Madison Square Garden in early July. Kelce, speaking at the Chiefs’ training camp, expressed his appreciation for everyone who attended the celebration.
During the ceremony on July 3, around 1,000 guests attended, including numerous celebrities. Among the attendees were Adam Sandler, Brad Pitt, Reese Witherspoon, Emma Stone, George Clooney, and Bradley Cooper. From the sports world, Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany, Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski, and Caitlin Clark were present. Chiefs head coach Andy Reid also attended, humorously noting the amount of dancing that kept him active for the season.
According to a statement shared with People, Austin Swift, Taylor’s brother, stood as her “Man of Honor,” while Kelce’s older brother, Jason, served as his “Best Man.” Swift and Kelce chose not to have bridesmaids or groomsmen. Their relationship flourished after Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast, where he humorously mentioned a missed opportunity to give Swift a friendship bracelet. The pair began meeting afterward, eventually solidifying their relationship before Swift attended her first Chiefs game.
In 2023, Kelce jokingly mentioned on his podcast that he had missed the chance to personally give Swift a bracelet during The Eras Tour in Kansas City. The Kelce brothers later hosted Swift on their podcast, after which she and Travis announced their engagement on Instagram, with Swift captioning the moment, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”
As the 2026 NFL season approaches, Kelce, an 11-time Pro Bowl player, prepares for his 14th NFL season. He has announced intentions to play at least one more season despite retirement talks in recent years. In 2025, Kelce completed the season with 76 receptions, 851 yards, and five touchdowns, though the Chiefs did not make the playoffs.
