Taylor Farms Linked to Multiple Produce-Related Outbreaks

The produce supplier Taylor Farms has been associated with several foodborne illness outbreaks over the years. Most recently, their shredded lettuce, distributed to Taco Bell, has been connected to a cyclosporiasis outbreak impacting at least five states.

Previously, Taylor Farms faced scrutiny regarding E. coli contamination found in their onions. This company has a history of being involved in multiple produce-related health incidents.

In 2008, workers were observed packing lettuces at a Taylor Farms field in Guanajuato, Mexico, highlighting the extensive nature of their production operations. The company’s repeated involvement in outbreaks raises questions regarding the handling and safety protocols in their facilities.

As investigations continue, the focus remains on ensuring food safety and preventing further outbreaks related to their produce.
