A plaque under the statue humorously awards Trump recognition “for his enthusiastic involvement in the Iran War,” highlighting a lack of focus on “strategy, diplomacy, or measurable outcomes.” Instead, Trump is praised for having “the courage to participate regardless of the final score.” Visitors have been encouraged by the group to leave their own awards, and smaller trophies began to gather at the base.

Visitor Zahid Khan told Newsweek the statue would attract crowds as “a great thing to have in Washington, D.C.” He remarked, “I think President Trump did it good for USA,” expressing belief in presidential efforts towards success.
Dan, another passerby, walked over two miles to see the installation, calling the satire effective for its subtlety. “I saw an interview yesterday where people didn’t actually understand it was satire, which I think is a sign that it’s good art,” he commented.
David Luria, who had not yet closely examined the statue, nonetheless supported its concept. “I think it’s a great idea. I like that it mocks Trump,” Luria stated.
