A K2 Cargo Airways Boeing 737-400 vanished while flying from Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, to Karachi, Pakistan. The plane was carrying five crew members.
The disappearance triggered an extensive search operation over the Arabian Sea. Flight KTA1732 was last tracked approximately 300 kilometers west of Karachi on Tuesday evening.
Preliminary data revealed the plane experienced a rapid loss of altitude and a sudden course change before losing contact. Pakistani authorities reported that the crew had communicated a navigation system issue shortly before, and air traffic controllers were guiding them.
Pakistan’s Rescue Coordination Centre initiated a multi-agency search to find the aircraft. So far, no wreckage or survivors have been found, and officials have not officially confirmed a crash. An investigation will commence upon locating the aircraft.
