Prince Harry Plans Solo Visit to London for Invictus Games Countdown

Prince Harry will travel to London next week without his wife Meghan and their two children. A source close to Harry confirmed this information, noting it would be the first time in four years that he visits without his family. Though Meghan, Archie, and Lilibet were initially expected to join him, their presence in the UK capital is now uncertain.

The purpose of Prince Harry’s visit is to mark one year until the next Invictus Games, which he established in 2014 for veterans. The games are scheduled for July 10 to 17, 2027. During his stay, Harry plans to fulfill duties related to his other charities as well.

According to The Sun, Meghan had intended to visit a London hospital with Harry. Due to security reasons, he will undertake this engagement alone. Last year, concerns about security arrangements arose after Harry lost a court battle for full police protection during UK visits. Despite these issues, Buckingham Palace has not offered additional security for the current trip.

Harry and Meghan have resided in North America since 2020, stepping back from royal duties. This decision came amid family tensions and was followed by Harry’s tell-all memoir and legal issues in the UK. He has expressed a desire to reconcile with his father, King Charles III, but it remains uncertain if they will meet during this trip.

Harry last met his father briefly in September 2025 at Clarence House. King Charles is currently undergoing treatment for an undisclosed cancer.
