Six Flags has taken precautionary measures by closing nine roller coasters across six of its theme parks. This follows a tragic event where one person lost their life and several others sustained injuries on a ride in Georgia.
The incident occurred at Six Flags Over Georgia, and local police are actively investigating the situation. Lisa Cupid, who chairs the Cobb County Board of Commissioners, confirmed the investigation.
Authorities have not disclosed the exact cause of the fatality or provided specifics about the injuries incurred by the other individuals.
“Out of an abundance of caution,” the company made the decision to close the rides, showing their commitment to guest safety and thorough examination of operations.
