LA Knight Faces Ultimate Challenge Against Roman Reigns

LA Knight is on the verge of a significant milestone in his WWE career. He will compete against Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship at Money in the Bank in New Orleans this Saturday.

Since his ascent to popularity with WWE fans in 2023-24, Knight’s momentum has been outstanding. Despite challenges like a U.S. title run and confrontations with The Vision and Reigns’ Bloodline team, fans continue to rally around him. Knight’s first world title opportunity came at Crown Jewel in 2023, thwarted by an interference from Jimmy Uso. He later participated in a fatal four-way match for the Undisputed WWE Championship at the 2024 Royal Rumble, facing Reigns, AJ Styles, and Randy Orton. However, Reigns retained the title.

This time, the situation is unique. Reigns lacks support from The Bloodline, who are preoccupied with their own battles, potentially making this a true one-on-one contest between the two superstars.

“Who will win is uncertain. WWE Hall of Famer Diamond Dallas Page told OutKick Dropkick he supports Knight in this premium live event.”

Page expressed his desire for Knight’s victory, referencing his own career journey that peaked later in life. He believes this could be Knight’s moment.

Page remarked that a defeat for Reigns would not harm his legacy. He compared it to his victory over Randy Savage at WCW’s Spring Stampede in 1997, a turning point in his career. Page shared how such a win would elevate Knight to a new status.

“When I beat Randy Savage, it was more impactful than even being the world champion. It changed how people viewed me,” Page explained.

Page has had discussions with Knight about reaching the top ranks in professional wrestling. He likened it to conversations he had with Cody Rhodes on a similar quest for championship gold.

Although Rhodes didn’t win at WrestleMania 39, he persevered through challenges and ultimately triumphed at WrestleMania 40.

Whether Knight wins or loses, Page believes any outcome will not tarnish Knight’s reputation.

“I don’t think a loss will harm LA Knight. I’ve experienced how dreams can become reality in wrestling,” Page said.

Page likens Knight’s current position to his own in 1994, on the verge of a breakthrough. Knight’s immense popularity with fans makes the outcome unpredictable.
