Trevor Lawrence Achieves Career Milestone with Win Over Bengals

On Sunday, Jacksonville Jaguars’ quarterback Trevor Lawrence led his team to a 22-17 victory against the Cincinnati Bengals, marking a significant achievement in his career. Before this win, Lawrence had never secured a victory over the Bengals since starting his NFL career in 2021. This win means he has defeated every other team in the AFC.

During the game in Cincinnati, Lawrence completed 18 of 23 passes, totaling 227 yards and one touchdown. Meanwhile, Bengals’ quarterback Joe Burrow accumulated 428 passing yards and a touchdown, but his performance was marred by two interceptions. The Bengals also faced challenges with Ja’Marr Chase, one of their key offensive players, leaving the game in the first half due to a concussion.

Lawrence has started the season strong, disproving critics who speculated he might struggle to maintain his starting position in Jacksonville. Last season, he guided his team to a 13-4 record, winning the AFC South and securing a playoff spot. If he leads the Jaguars to the playoffs this season, it would be his third playoff appearance, silencing doubters who questioned his fit as the team’s quarterback.

Currently, Jacksonville is 3-1 and leading their division, indicating a promising season ahead. Lawrence has accumulated 616 passing yards and ranks fifth in the NFL with seven touchdown passes. His quarterback rating (QBR) of 73.3 is fifth in the league, while his 107.8 passer rating is a personal best.

After a successful previous season, the Jaguars appear to be strong contenders in the AFC. However, many games remain on the schedule. Their next match is against the NFC’s Philadelphia Eagles (2-2) on Sunday, Oct. 11, followed by a game against the Houston Texans (0-4) on Oct. 18, both considered winnable games.
