Members of the Trump family recently celebrated a milestone event, as Ivanka Trump shared details of the occasion online. Ivanka Trump marked the 100th birthday of her maternal grandmother, Marie Zelníčková, also known as “Babi,” with a series of photos on social media. Four generations of the family gathered for this special celebration.
“100 years of life, love, family and memories,” Ivanka Trump mentioned in her Instagram post. The gathering took place on Saturday, September 26, at Ivanka Trump’s home in Miami. Joining Zelníčková were her three grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Ivanka Trump emphasized the significance of the event, describing it as a reflection of family and legacy across four generations. The gathering was especially poignant as Ivanka held her niece Kai alongside her grandmother during Thanksgiving at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, on November 27, 2008. Now, about 18 years later, she celebrated her grandmother reaching her centennial year with family in Miami.
One photo featured Zelníčková seated among her relatives for a formal family portrait. Ivanka was pictured with her husband Jared Kushner and their three children: Arabella, 15, Joseph, 12, and Theodore, 10. Eric Trump and his wife Lara were present with their children Luke, 9, and Carolina, 7, while Donald Trump Jr. attended with his wife Bettina Anderson and his five children from his previous marriage to Vanessa Trump: Kai, Donald III, Tristan, Spencer, and Chloe.
The celebration also carried an emotional note, as Ivanka’s mother, Ivana Trump, who passed away in July 2022 at the age of 73, was deeply missed. “My mother, her beloved daughter, was deeply missed, but her love and presence was felt throughout the day in the stories we shared and in the family she loved so fiercely,” Ivanka noted.
She paid tribute to her grandmother’s impact, writing, “Babi, your century of love has shaped generations and lives in every one of us.” Ivanka has previously shared her close bond with her grandmother, noting that Zelníčková helped raise her and now resides with Ivanka’s family.
Earlier in the year, Ivanka became emotional when discussing her grandmother on “The Diary of a CEO” podcast. She described Zelníčková as “unbelievably nurturing” and acknowledged the privilege of having her at home, calling her presence “a blessing.”
Reflecting on the loss of her mother and observing her grandmother’s aging process, Ivanka expressed how these experiences have shifted her view on family and time. “You can’t take things for granted in life, and I’ve learned that in numerous ways,” Ivanka Trump added.
