Sharon Stone Discusses Abortion on Michelle Obama’s Podcast

Sharon Stone appeared on Michelle Obama’s “IMO” podcast on Wednesday, where she made a bold statement about abortion access. The actress claimed that if men were capable of pregnancy, obtaining an abortion would be as easy as using a vending machine.

During the podcast, Stone recounted her own experience with an abortion at the age of 18. At the time, she lacked sexual knowledge and access to birth control. “He didn’t have any knowledge or information that I should have some kind of birth control,” she explained, adding that she could have given birth unknowingly.

Stone humorously mentioned that her parents mistook her weight gain for the “freshman 15.” She criticized current barriers to women’s healthcare, saying, “And now we don’t wanna give women care, OB-GYN care, and we wanna prosecute women for having a miscarriage? What kind of arcane nonsense is this?”

Michelle Obama found Stone’s vending machine comment amusing, suggesting a “birth Olympics” scenario if men could get pregnant. “If there would be the birth Olympics… men would film themselves going into labor,” Obama joked. “There would be trophies given, ‘well done dude,’ ‘Bob, you did that without an epidural.'”

In response to Stone’s remarks, Laura Echevarria, National Right to Life’s communications director, criticized them as flippant. “Vending machines are about convenience. Abortion is about consequences— it ends the life of an unborn child and can profoundly impact the mother,” Echevarria stated. She added that women and their unborn children deserve compassion, not trivialization.

Kelsey Pritchard from Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America also weighed in. “The Democrats simply can’t defend their no-limits abortion-on-demand agenda, so they resort to cynical man-bashing,” she noted.

Stone’s podcast appearance followed her comments about actress Sydney Sweeney’s provocative advertisement for a sports prediction platform. Stone stated, “I think that it’s up to her to take responsibility for her actions… It is up to me to be a cheerleader for the women who have made it through and become champions in women’s sports.”
