The highly anticipated season opener between LSU and Clemson has been delayed due to adverse weather conditions in Baton Rouge. The game marks Lane Kiffin’s debut as LSU’s head coach against Clemson led by Dabo Swinney. The kickoff, initially scheduled for earlier, is tentatively set for 8:40 p.m. ET due to lightning storms.
Weather Delay Details
The weather has caused a delay in the game, pushing back the warm-ups and subsequent kickoff time. The current plan, weather permitting, is for the countdown clock to start at 7:10 local time, leading to a possible 8:40 kickoff.
The unpredictable weather halted preparations, with both teams waiting for a safe window to start the game.
The LSU student section, undeterred by the weather conditions, entertained themselves by singing along to ‘Purple Rain’ during the delay.
