According to People magazine, the Duchess of Sussex is in talks to join Season 3 of Guy Ritchie’s hit series, “The Gentlemen.” Reports had initially suggested the deal was off the table, but these claims have since been contradicted. While no formal agreement has been reached, the prospect raises questions about Meghan’s journey of identity exploration after leaving royal life.
Kinsey Schofield, host of “Kinsey Schofield Unfiltered,” expressed curiosity, noting, “If she returns now, one has to wonder what happened to the varied identities Markle adopted post-royalty.” Among these have been roles like podcaster, producer, lifestyle entrepreneur, and media mogul.
The series “The Gentlemen” stars Theo James, Kaya Scodelario, and Giancarlo Esposito and is filmed in England. The storyline follows Eddie Horniman, played by James, who inherits his father’s title and estate, discovering it sits atop a massive cannabis operation.
Despite public skepticism, Schofield maintains that returning to acting might be Meghan’s most authentic professional identity. Doug Eldridge, founder of Achilles PR, echoed similar sentiments, highlighting Meghan’s struggle to establish a lasting identity.
Amidst speculation about Meghan’s acting endeavors, a spokesperson for the Sussexes has confirmed their plans to spend additional time in the UK, emphasizing the importance of the locale in their family narrative. Business operations, however, will remain based in the U.S., and the couple will maintain their California residence.
“Meghan brings something you cannot manufacture with a marketing budget, and that’s global curiosity,” Schofield explained, reflecting on the actress’s captivating presence.
