Tristan Peters recently joined an exclusive list of Chicago White Sox players by hitting a home run in four consecutive games. Among the notable figures on that list are Paul Konerko, Jim Thome, and Harold Baines. Peters hit his homer during the sixth inning of an 11-7 victory against the Texas Rangers at Rate Field.
Peters is now close to tying the franchise record of five consecutive games with home runs, a feat achieved by players such as Munetaka Murakami this season and others like A.J. Pierzynski in 2012. “He’s been on an incredible run,” commented Sox starter Anthony Kay, highlighting Peters’ impact further down the lineup.
Center fielder Tristan Peters celebrated another personal milestone on August 23, 2026, when his home run in the ninth inning secured a 2-1 win against the New York Mets. According to data from the Elias Sports Bureau, Peters and Murakami are the only rookies in Sox history to have a streak of four or more home run games in the same season.
The current season also saw Peters, Murakami, and Colson Montgomery occur multiple home run streaks within the team, something not seen since 1983. Peters’ impressive run began with a memorable home run against the Mets, where the ball bounced off the glove of Mets outfielder Carson Benge. “I was pumped to see it go over the wall,” Peters remarked.
Peters followed this with another significant home run the next day. “I just hoped the ball would keep going,” he said. His performance continued with a two-run home run in a subsequent game against the Rangers, and almost achieved another cycle for the season. He had previously hit for the cycle on July 10 against the Athletics.
The Sox organization acknowledged Peters’ achievement by presenting him with a custom ring. “I wasn’t expecting that,” Peters noted. At the time of this recognition, Peters was tied for sixth place on the team with 11 home runs.
Sox third baseman Miguel Vargas praised Peters’ efforts, and Sox manager Will Venable highlighted Peters’ strategic approach to batting. Peters averaged .367/.466/.776 over 18 games since August 6, demonstrating his skill and performance.
Peters joined Hall of Famers Jimmie Foxx and Joe DiMaggio in hitting for the cycle, securing six RBIs, and much more in one season. Reflecting on his achievements, Peters expressed gratitude, stating, “I’m just so thankful.”
