Will Scharf Appointed As White House Counsel By Trump

President Donald Trump announced a personnel change in a Truth Social post on Sunday. Will Scharf, currently serving as assistant to the president and White House staff secretary, will soon begin his role as White House counsel starting September 1st.

“It is my Great Honor to announce that, effective September 1st, Will Scharf will become Assistant to the President and White House Counsel, replacing a man, David Warrington, who has done a truly outstanding job as White House Counsel and, before that, for my Presidential Campaign. David will be going on to the Private Sector,” Trump stated.

Trump praised Scharf for his remarkable performance in his current duties. Scharf has also served as Chairman of the National Capital Planning Commission. Known for his legal representation of Trump in various cases, including those presented before the Supreme Court, Trump commended Scharf’s achievements during the Biden administration.

“Scharf has also previously worked as a Federal Prosecutor, in private law practice, and clerked for Federal Appeals Court Judges. A top alum of both Princeton University and Harvard Law School, his toughness, intelligence, and patriotism have been lauded by Trump. “Will Scharf will do a great job as White House Counsel!” Trump asserted.

Scharf, often seen organizing presidential documents and offering briefings on each, has been a crucial part of the team within the Oval Office.

White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles took to social media to offer her congratulations. “Warmest congratulations to Will Scharf as he will soon take the helm as White House Counsel. There is so much winning ahead!” she posted.

Wiles also expressed gratitude for the contributions of outgoing counsel, Dave Warrington, acknowledging his instrumental role in achieving 24 Supreme Court victories and confirming 54 judges.

Conservative commentator Josh Hammer praised the appointment, describing it as a “grand slam home run.” He highlighted Scharf’s anticipated positive impact on the White House counsel’s office.

Hammer noted his collaboration with Scharf on “Jews Against Soros,” a group they co-founded due to their opposition to megadonor George Soros’ activities, which Hammer described as promoting antisemitism and anti-Israel actions worldwide.
