Vincent Pastore, recognized for his role in ‘The Sopranos,’ has died at age 80. His manager, Robert Attermann, confirmed his passing to Fox News Digital, stating that Pastore died either yesterday or today at his home in The Bronx.
Attermann, who represented Pastore for over 30 years, remarked on the actor’s widespread recognition as ‘Big Pussy,’ but noted that he was much more to those who knew him personally. Pastore played Salvatore ‘Big Pussy’ Bonpensiero, a key member of Tony Soprano’s group, who later betrayed him on the acclaimed HBO Max show.
Aside from ‘The Sopranos,’ Pastore appeared in numerous films such as ‘Goodfellas,’ ‘A Bronx Tale,’ ‘Carlito’s Way,’ ‘Gotti,’ ‘Once Upon a Time in Brooklyn,’ and ‘Mickey Blue Eyes.’ His television credits included roles in ‘Blue Bloods,’ ‘Law & Order,’ ‘General Hospital,’ ‘Bull,’ ‘Pair of Kings,’ and ‘Hawaii Five-0,’ with a recent voice role in ‘Yellowjackets.’
