The Griners, married since 2018, have a 2-year-old son. Court documents reveal their separation began on July 24, with Brittney Griner describing their marriage as “irretrievably broken.”
In February 2022, Brittney Griner faced legal troubles in Russia. Authorities arrested her when they found vape cartridges containing cannabis oil in her luggage. She was charged with smuggling narcotic drugs into Russia and sentenced to nine years in a penal colony.
