A personal dispute between two teachers led to their arrests after an incident at a Miami charter boarding school. The conflict involved Terrod Tiyan Torrence, 36, and Odiria Biggins, who share a child together.
According to a Miami-Dade Schools Police arrest affidavit, the trouble began days before the confrontation when Torrence left a handwritten note on Biggins’ desk, asking to meet. She agreed to meet him on July 17 inside Classroom 119 at The SEED School of Miami.
The meeting escalated from a conversation to a physical altercation. Investigators say Torrence punched Biggins in the head and slammed her into a wall, causing her to lose consciousness.
After recovering, Biggins retrieved pepper spray from her car and confronted Torrence again, eventually spraying him. Surveillance cameras captured Biggins entering a classroom where Torrence was present. Both teachers emerged later, with Torrence showing signs of eye irritation and difficulty walking. School staff assisted him, and he received treatment at a hospital.
Biggins was arrested and faced charges for discharging a weapon on school property, related to the pepper spray incident, and domestic violence battery. She received a $2,000 bond. Torrence was also arrested and charged with domestic violence battery. He was booked at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, and a judge set his bond at $2,000 along with a no-contact order with Biggins.
