Survivor Criticizes NYC Mayor’s Remarks on Netanyahu

A survivor of the Nova music festival attack by Hamas has spoken out against New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s comments regarding Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. In a video released by Mamdani, he labeled Netanyahu as a ‘war criminal’. The survivor, Mazal Tazazo, described these comments as ‘dangerous’ in a video shared by radio host Jason Rantz.

Mamdani accused Netanyahu of being the ‘architect of a horrific genocide against the Palestinian people’. He expressed his agreement with the International Criminal Court and advocated for Netanyahu’s arrest should he visit New York City for the U.N. General Assembly.

‘I was shocked today when I saw that video. It’s so dangerous,’ Tazazo said. ‘What’s happening there is not genocide. People died. Yes, this is a war. It’s very sad. But why? Because the terrorists hide behind their people.’

Tazazo referenced Israeli Defense Forces’ statements that Hamas uses civilian locations for military cover. She invited people to visit Israel and hear her story. ‘I’m Mazal Tazazo, nice to meet you, survivor of the Nova. You can come to Israel and hear my story and hear the story of Israel.’

Mamdani, in his own video, stated that New York does not have the legal jurisdiction to arrest Netanyahu. He called on the federal government to enforce the International Criminal Court’s warrant.

He accused Netanyahu of various atrocities, including the deaths of over 73,000 people, the injury of tens of thousands, and targeting of hospitals. Mamdani claimed that Netanyahu blocked food and aid, among other accusations.
