Philadelphia Phillies Fan Faces Disappointment
A Philadelphia Phillies fan attending Monday night’s game against the Los Angeles Dodgers experienced a challenging evening.
Wearing a Kelly green Eagles jersey, he positioned himself in the outfield and nearly caught two home run balls.
The First Close Call
The first ball involved a bit of luck. Although he caught it, the fan in front of him had initially trapped it in his hat. The hat slipped, and the Eagles-supporting fan grabbed the ball.
While celebrating the catch, the fan in front looked for his hat and initiated a heated dispute over the ball, likely insisting he was the rightful catcher.
Faced with a dilemma, the Eagles fan returned the ball.
Another Chance Missed
Karma seemed to be on the Eagles fan’s side later, with another homer coming his way. His timing was perfect, but despite hitting both hands, he couldn’t secure the ball. It fell out of reach as other fans snatched it.
Frustrated, he clapped his hands, perhaps testing their efficacy. An usher offered a friendly shrug, silently acknowledging the fan’s misfortune.
Though losing two home run balls isn’t easy, the consolation was the Phillies’ 10-7 victory.
