Introduction of TNA Knockouts Television Championship

Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) unveiled the Knockouts Television Championship at Slammiversary in Boston. This announcement was made after Elayna Black’s victory over Indi Hartwell and Mara Sadè in the event’s pre-show.

Traci Brooks, a TNA Hall of Famer, emphasized the impact of the Knockouts division in pro wrestling over the years. She highlighted their role in initiating the women’s revolution within the sport. Brooks stated, “The TNA Knockouts have shattered glass ceilings, rewritten rules, and created numerous opportunities on the biggest stages.”

A 16-woman tournament will commence on Thursday to determine the inaugural TNA Knockouts Television Champion. The championship belt, featuring “KO” and “TV” in purple and black, was introduced during the ceremony.

Details about the participants in the tournament are yet to be disclosed. Elayna Black and her competitors, Indi Hartwell and Mara Sadè, could potentially be involved as the tournament kicks off on “Impact.” Brooks expressed the importance of this championship exclusively being defended on “Impact” television, providing the division another opportunity to prove its prowess.

TNA’s Knockouts division aims to further establish itself as the leading women’s division in professional wrestling through this new championship.

Currently, TNA holds six active championships, and the Knockouts TV Championship will become the seventh. The launch represents a new chapter for the Knockouts, promising further evolution and achievements in women’s wrestling.
