A CTA passenger sustained injuries from glass shards after a bullet hit a train window on Sunday morning in Roseland, according to Chicago police. The incident occurred on the CTA Red Line near 95th Street around 8:49 a.m.
The 46-year-old male passenger was affected when individuals in three vehicles on the Dan Ryan Expressway discharged firearms, police reported. A bullet broke the train window, causing glass to strike the man in his face and body.
Emergency responders transported him to Trinity Hospital, where he was reported to be in good condition.
Police mentioned that the vehicles involved fled the situation. Area 2 detectives are currently conducting an investigation.
