Tim Allen attributes the longevity of his marriage to Jane Hajduk to humor. In an interview with Us Weekly, Allen discussed the challenges they’ve faced over nearly 20 years. ‘I think a sense of humor saves us so many times,’ he said.
Allen and Hajduk married in 2006. Allen spoke about their shared interests, like golf, and their daughter Elizabeth entering her senior year. ‘Jane said something really funny in the golf cart,’ Allen recalled.
The ‘Toy Story’ star appreciates Hajduk’s sense of humor. He explained their differences, noting Hajduk’s athleticism and Catholic faith, which Allen embraced without adhering to all rules. ‘I think she admires my move. We’re pretty good buddies,’ he shared.
Allen and Hajduk began dating in 2001, marrying five years later. They welcomed Elizabeth in March 2009. Allen has another daughter, Katherine, from his first marriage.
Keeping their relationship vibrant, Hajduk said in 2024 they’ve taken up new activities. ‘Our new activity is stretching,’ she told People. ‘We go to a little stretch lab, and then we have breakfast.’
The couple credits communication and long-standing friendships for maintaining their relationship. ‘We talk,’ Hajduk said, with Allen adding, ‘That’s right, we talk. We do. And we’re good buddies.’
