A tragic incident occurred at a Home Depot parking lot on Badillo Street in Covina, resulting in a fatal shooting on Tuesday. The police received a report at 6:06 p.m. about the shooting at the location, 963 West Badillo Street.
A large group had assembled for a child custody exchange, which sadly turned violent. According to the Covina police, the early investigation indicated that an argument broke out between two males involved in the exchange. The confrontation quickly escalated when one individual drew a firearm and shot the other.
Emergency responders provided medical assistance to the victim, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities apprehended the suspect without any complications. The Covina Police Department is continuing to investigate the incident.
